Descriptions of topics:
HOW TO BE AN ENTREPRENEUR WITH NO TIME, NO MONEY, AND NO IDEAS
There are so many benefits to entrepreneurship. You get to be your own boss, do what you want to do, and of course make money. I do it for time, location, and financial freedom.
But most people will never take those steps to become an entrepreneur. I call them “wantrepreneurs.”
There are three reasons why people don’t start a business:
They don’t have time because they (work too much/have 10 kids/are too busy)
They don’t have millions of dollars and don’t know of any VC’s who will give them millions of dollars
They don’t have any good ideas.
Well, those are all myths. You can start a business with no money, no time, or no ideas. It’s a change in mindset and a few mind hacks. You’ll learn about atoms, electrons, and energy as well as MVPs that aren’t Lebron James (too soon? Should I say Steph Curry?). You will take the first steps towards starting a business at this workshop, and with the help of the EntreAsians community, get the support and help you need to be successful!
HOW TO PITCH WHO YOU ARE, WHAT YOU DO, AND HOW YOU’RE UNIQUE
What if you could pitch with more confidence and success?
Communicating your value proposition is critical to launching your business, attracting customers and closing deals.
But pitching is a skill few people have mastered. Every day great ideas and products go undiscovered just because of a bad pitch.
Don’t take that chance with your business.
If you’ve ever struggled with your pitch and thought, “Why don’t they get it?” then join us.
Rebecca Okamoto from Evoke Strategy Group will give a pitch workhshop called, “How to pitch who you are, what you do and how you’re unique”
She’s helped entrepreneurs pitch to Fortune 500 companies in 10 slides or less!

MASTERMIND #11: DRAGONFRUIT MEDIA
Every month or so we do an open Mastermind Meeting. A Mastermind Meeting, according to Napolean Hill, is:
“The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony. No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind, the mastermind.”
We feature one venture in the “hotseat” who presents their venture, and the audience has a discussion and provides feedback to help them out. The presenters also help inspire the rest of us to take action as well. This time, we have Dragonfruit Media with Emily Liu and Kimberly Matsudaira live!
Dragonfruit is a social media channel dedicated to bringing the best of Asian and Asian American culture through bite-sized videos.
Finding a lack of positive representation of Asians in mainstream media, Emily Liu and Kimberly Matsudaira teamed up to start this channel and hope to share compelling Asian stories through food, travel, and other categories.
MINORITY BUSINESS CERTIFICATION. WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
